MARTS MODERN is a new contemporary fine art gallery located on the historic waterfront of beautiful La Conner, Washington. It was created to showcase the multimedia art work of artist/ textile/jewelry/ clothing designer, Denise C. Marts. Technology has played an important role in the development of her work as an artist. Though she considers herself to be primarily a painter, she feels that much of her most original and progressive art work is in the newly emergent digital medium. She grew up artistically in the heart of a technological hub and this was central to the integration of technology with her art. “I do not believe that technology is “the” future of art.
