Painting and Jewelry Making…

This means creating an exhibit that weaves the two media together showing how they reflect, cross fertilize and ultimately emerge one from another.
Despite the fact that I’ve been making jewelry for nearly two decades, I still tend to think of my jewelry as being in an endless phase of experimentation that somehow is never quite finished or ready for public viewing. I realize this internal critique will probably never end so I think it’s time to drop any perfectionist leanings and get on with sharing it. I shall ascribe to painter Anselm Kiefer’s attitude that every work, including jewelry, should be considered a work in progress until it is sold…
