“Shaman’s Dream 2023”, is a large complex painting depicting a recurring theme in my work that dates back to the early 2000’s and pertains to an interest in indigenous cultures, cosmologies and shamanistic healing modalities. This particular painting represents a peak in my 2023 painting cycle that centered around familiar themes of desert Southwest landscapes expressed in a graphic cubist style under the influence of Picasso and Matisse.
