This is a recent self portrait created using an artisanal piece from my 2017 nuno felted scarf collection. In fact this piece has a special place in my heart as it was actually the very first piece of nuno felt I ever created. I love it still, seven years later, even with all of its beginner’s imperfections. Nuno felting is a wet felting process that uses silk, wool, hot water and agitation to cause the wool to migrate through silk and bond to it.
